Cooking Tips From Chef Pete
- Avoid extensive marinating and complicated marinades by using pacific island soy sauce. Just a few tablespoons of pacific island on your beef, chicken, pork, or seafood for just 15 to 30 minutes prior to cooking. Experience an easy and flavorful way to cook.
- Never thaw frozen foods in hot water. Allow frozen foods to thaw naturally by slacking in the fridge, or in a pinch run cold tap water over frozen food to thaw.
- Need a quick sauce? Reduce ½ a cup of pacific island over a low heat till it thickens slightly approx. to a 1/8 cup and pour over your steak, poultry, seafood and of course vegetables.
- Enhance a bowl of chicken soup with a tablespoon of pacific island soy sauce, a pinch of chopped cilantro and a teaspoon of sliced green onion.
- Got a brisket and don't know what to do? Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees. Season the brisket with a liberal seasoning of salt, pepper and granulated garlic; be sure to season both sides of the brisket and place in a roasting pan. Turn oven up to broil and place brisket in the oven and brown, this should take 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and cover with 1 onion finely diced and sprinkle with 6 to8 ounces of pacific island soy sauce and ½ a cup of water. Cover pan with plastic wrap and then a sheet of foil, seal tight and place in the oven. Lower heat to 300 and braise in the oven at least 4 to 5 hours. You will enjoy a tender and flavor full brisket. Thanks to pacific island!
- Nothing starts off a great Sunday brunch than a Bloody Mary and nothing makes a better Bloody Mary than pacific island soy sauce. Substitute Worstershire for pacific island soy sauce or if you are using a mix just add a splash of pacific island soy sauce to liven up your libation.
- Let's talk turkey and chicken! Mix ½ cup of pacific soy sauce, ¼ cup of olive oil, the juice of ½ a lemon, and a teaspoon of dry sage or 4 leaves of fresh sage finely minced. Mix well and use to baste your bird!
- Always keep a spare bottle of pacific island soy sauce in your kitchen cabinet. There is nothing worse than not having enough pacific island soy sauce to cook with, to eat with or to show a friend the best taste sensation you ever found!
- Using Stainless Steel Cookware for Healthy Cooking.
