Spencer Shields, General Counsel
Spencer C. Shields was born in 1970 in Paola, Kansas, the fourth of five children of John and LeAnne Shields. Spencer graduated from Paola High School in 1988. After graduating from high school, Spencer attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, for two years.
Spencer played on the JCCC baseball team and graduated from JCCC in 1991. Spencer, thereafter, attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. While at Washburn, Spencer was also a member of the Ichabob baseball team. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, Spencer was admitted to the Washburn School of Law. Spencer subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate in 1996, and accepted a position as an associate attorney in Overland Park.
Spencer joined the Overland Park law firm of Hayes & Kieler, L.L.C in civil litigation and personal injury. Spencer also has an interest in sports and entertainment representation. Spencer is presently 31 years of age, engaged, and lives in Olathe, Kansas. Spencer is a licensed attorney in Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado, and is a member of several local and national bar associations.
